The Paperless Portrait Art Collection
The Paperless Portrait is an art collection honoring those who have been targeted, marginalized, and threatened in the United States. It was specifically created as I.C.E. rounding up and detaining people without legal procedure, and the resulting deaths.

To us, art is one of the most effective forms of advocacy. So in early 2026, we created a platform for people to express their thoughts and emotions via writing, visual art, song, and more. We want The Paperless Portrait to reinforce the fact that humanity is not determined by race, class, or documentation.

Beneath the distress many feel, there is love for our country and belief in a better future. The art we feature is meant to be a reminder that things aren't hopeless. We celebrate the love we have for the United States because this place matters. And its people--all its people--do, too.

Lastly, to all who submitted art, spread the word, and made our first issue possible--Thank you! We quite literally could not have done this without you, and it was inspiring to see the time and effort you put into making this happen.
